Day 3:
Had breakfast from a small little stall that was just downstairs of the hotel.
Had breakfast from a small little stall that was just downstairs of the hotel.
What they sold were simple thai fares; Thai style fried rice, Pad See Ew (they call it fried noodles, but its actually kway teow), white rice with ingredients like omelette, sunny side up, stir fry veggies/ meat/ fermented meat, etc), noodle soup (they use their own stock) and Yi Mien.
As you can see, due to the lack of the food photos, once again, the food was "attacked" on by us before we even remembered to snap a shot of them. But trust me, it was good as we went back again the following day for breakfast. The only thing good about staying at the Best Bangkok House Hotel is this small roadside stall downstairs.

On our way to Central World (which is just behind Platinum Mall), it was so hot that we decided to pop into Starbucks to have a drink. To our amazement, Starbucks in BKK is so darn cheap! The price of 1 cup in Singapore I can buy 2 cups in BKK. WOW! But I must say, Starbucks BKK has better standard as compared to the ones in Taiwan. We lepak-ed (commonly used Malay word which means; to hang out with friends, loiter about and do absolutely nothing.)
After about 30 minutes, we were cooled, we decided to brave the heat and continue our walk to Central World, where the ladies went to Naraya. C's brother and I went about on our own. After about 10 minutes, we realised that Central World is kinda boring, we say Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, we popped in there to chill after all, we already drank Starbucks earlier.
We slacked for about 15 to 20 minutes before C asked where were we.. Apparently, their whole motive to go to Central World was just to but Naraya stuffs... -.-

It's a small shop in an open space. The vibe it gives off doesn't feel very cosy as most cafés would.. Some of their display feels very English (probably its because they are selling scones and scones is a all-time English tea item).
The sitting space behind the counter is actually very small. And since it didn't feel very cosy, you won't really stay long after you're done with your scones.
Scone flavors; Rose Petal, Butter, Blueberry, Cranberry & Lime Zest
Jam flavors: Blueberry, Strawberry, Mulberry, Raspberry, Rose Petal & Butterfly Pea

The scones are not bad but not as light and fluffy as the ones that are sold in cafés in Australia. The scones are smaller, not very buttery , slightly fluffy and not too dense which is still passable. The lime flavour for the lime zest scone is very faint, it gets lost if you add anything to it. The jam is a tad sweet for my liking but overall, its not bad. This is also suitable for those that do not like to have very strong butter taste in their scones.
Since the weather was so hot and Central World was boring... we took tuk tuk back to Number One massage for a feet massage before heading to Siam Square Night Market.
Oh oh oh!! There was Mrs. Fields at Central World. I bought 6 cookies and 1 brownie for the next day's breakfast :P
