Day 4:
The very 1st thing that comes to anyone's mind when they mention Bangkok is... CHATUCHAK!
The 35-acre area of Chatuchak is home to more than 8,000 market stalls. On a typical weekend, more than 200,000 visitors come here to sift through the goods on offer. With it's sheer size and types of merchandise will bring any shopper to their knees – this is where you can literally shop till you drop.

The map is available at the information conters.
For first-timers, conquering Chatuchak may seem impossible since it is so big and the weather is scorching. BUT NOT TO WORRY... Inside, one main walkway encircles the entire market, and it branches off into a series of numbered alleys called Soi 1, Soi 2, Soi 3, and so on.
These alleys are grouped into sections, with 27 sections in total. More than one category of goods contained in one section, and the same category of goods will appear again in the other sections. In terms of locating your category of goods, this system is rather useless.

Like Singapore, Thailand is equally hot and at Chatuchak, there isn't many trees and everything is so close and with so many people emitting heat with the sun, IT WAS SUPER HOT! And what do you do when it's super hot, you eat ICE CREAM!
It is definately a must have when you're at Chatuchak to eat the coconut ice cream. There are plenty of stalls that are selling them, you go pick and choose which you like. The coconut ice cream ranges from 30 to 50 Bhat.
Another ice cream shop that caught out eyes was Annettei Tim Tuk Tuk. They have fancyful looking ice cream on a stick that's just going for 80 Bhat, a tad bit pricey but hey, it looks attractive and it says it's home-made (just by looking at their ice cream, its a little hard to be mass produced). Even the way the give the ice cream takes anyone by surprise; they use a drink cup cover to hold and ice cream that will melt and drip down. Talk about customer service, I doubt you get this in Singapore, let alone a roadside stall in BKK.
The ice cream itself was delicious! The ice cream is not very sweet but you cannot really make out the distinct mango and passion fruit flavor *if you really want to nit pick*. The ice cream is then coated in what I believe to be colored white chocolate and finally, topped with a simple marzipan butterfly.
If you happen to see this stall, really you have to try it!

The weather was so hot that we had no space in our bellies to eat anything as our bellies were filled with liquids; from water to soda to honey lemon water and to coconut water.
When we cabbed back to the Hotel, and being a Saturday and having traffic congestion everywhere in BKK, our cab driver wanted to drop us off at Platinum Mall and asked us to walk back after saying that he will charge 250 Bhat to drop us off at the hotel. So C kept on repeating herself saying 'no, no, go hotel'! Since he was mumbling and talking in Thai which none of us understood so we just kept quiet and insisted he go to the hotel. In the end, he had no choice so he dropped us off at the hotel without not calling us names. He called us 'Ling Noi' which means little monkey. Seriously! But thankfully it's not something real vulgar. Of all cabbies & tuk tuk drivers in BKK, this was the one and only one that scolded us and even talk us to walk back to our hotel from somewhere else with all the bags.
