This restaurant has been sitting at the corner (near the exit to North Bridge Road) for a couple of years. Today is the day I finally tried their food.. (Slow... yes, I know.)
Without further ado, let's get to the foood!
Vegetables were pretty fresh and crisp, no soggy or veggies that has changed color. With the exception of the tomatoes, there was some signs of spoilage but they still used it. I would be fine if they cut out that part and use it *what the customer don't see, they don't knw*, but they still used it (Ω_Ω)
Usually anything that has the word 'Garlic' will be very fragrant when it arrives on the table. But this dish does not. The garlic sauce/ butter on the steak was not as fragrant as we though it would be but the winning garlic taste came from the fried garlic slices. We ask medium rare, and for a fairly thin cut, they were able to come rather close *at least it wasn't near done which I have gotten from many places*.
Somehow, the garlic in this dish doesn't make you feel like you're on a mission to slay vampires. Its not overpowering but yet fragrant. I think it can do without the rice as the fries is enough starch for the dish.
OH! The soup is also different, because this is a Japanese concept coffee house, you would expect the soup to be miso based but this isn't. We have no idea what it is but it has a slight herby taste but not in a disgusting way. It makes you want to drink more.
The only thing we did not like was the vegetables. Putting lettuce on the warm hotplate wilted the lettuce which made it look very unpleasant to eat.

The best item of the night!!!!
Cheesy + creamy avocado + perfectly cooked melt-in-your-mouth salmon + slight salty & smoky bonito flakes = a sensational mix of flavor that leaves you wanting more (^_^)b
Before the pizza came, we thought the salmon will be smoked salmon but it turns out to be fresh salmon. I thought it would be a tad bit overcooked, but surprisingly, IT WASN'T!
Just that we felt they used a little too much cheese as the crust was a little soggy and the pizza was a little oily. But other than that, this was AWESOME!!

Anything potato is C's favourite, a must have if I may add.
This rösti is nothing fantastic. It was not crispy on the outside and the potatoes seems not have any starch left in them to hold the sheds together. Still the Swiss does it better!
Sausage just taste like any generic brands sold at supermarkets.
Really nothing special or amazing about this dish.

Mango avocado smoothie is more like mango smoothie with some green smoothie on top. It is not because the flavor of the mango is stronger than the avocado that's why we were unable to taste the avocado.
When we first got the drink, we scooped the green part to try but there was really no avocado taste. It's either the avocado was not very ripe or they used too little of the avocado. But the mango part was good.. so we just made ourselves think that we were simply drinking mango smoothie.
Nice place to have a meal or just coffee but not very conducive if you would like to sit, have a nice conversation with the people/ person you are with as their tables are lined very closely. You can overhear the other tables around.
